The CIA was created by Harry S. Truman in 1947 as a component of the “National Security Act” he signed into legislation. This Act also created the FBI at the same time. The CIA is responsible for security, intelligence and operations dealing with our foreign and national security. The CIA has grown to the point today that many are calling it a dark-ops beast that is out of control and want it disbanded entirely.
