Fake news is the name given to the propagation of lies through mainstream media. It is uncorroborated, emotional bias, nothing more than diatribes essentially, and it is a weapon very much effective on the masses who soak in this decrepitly amoral form of entertainment. Employed by nearly all networks on both sides of the aisle, when one side lashes out with fake news, you know the other is soon to follow, creating a sort of media conflict with no foreseeable resolution, as dissension equals ratings, ratings equals money and money equals power.
